Every track enters for a reason. No filler, no inertia, no tracks that play because they "always work". If it's in the session, it has something to say at that exact moment.

No algorithm, no trend decides here. Not requests, not applause. A clear, sustained and coherent intention from start to finish.

No copied sets. No recycled structures. Every night's journey is unrepeatable — built from scratch for that moment, that room, that crowd.

100% salsa. Expect son montuno, guaracha, guaguancó, mambo, cha cha chá, pachanga, boogaloo, latin jazz, guajira, descarga, salsa dura or charanga. The selection changes every session — there is no fixed setlist.
No. The selector has a vision for the night, and requests break that vision. If you want to hear something specific, share it on Instagram. It might show up in a future session — but we make no promises.
No. La Rumba Caliente is built around dancers, but it is also for those who simply love music. Respect for dancing is there — but this is not a level test or an exhibition.
Occasionally there may be a workshop, show, or live performance, but the main focus of La Rumba Caliente is always the DJ session. Any extras will be announced clearly.
The home base is Murcia, Spain. The venue varies between editions — each date is announced with the specific space. The aim is to find places that live up to the sound.
