After years of dancing, studying the culture and musical archaeology, Donato Gómez shapes the identity of B-Side.
Over time, that relationship with music evolved into collecting and a way of building sessions where selection is at the centre.

What you
should
know.
100% salsa. Expect son montuno, guaracha, guaguancó, mambo, cha cha chá, pachanga, boogaloo, latin jazz, guajira, descarga, salsa dura or charanga. The selection changes every session — there is no fixed setlist.
No. The selector has a vision for the night, and requests break that vision. If you want to hear something specific, share it on Instagram. It might show up in a future session — but we make no promises.
No. La Rumba Caliente is built around dancers, but it is also for those who simply love music. Respect for dancing is there — but this is not a level test or an exhibition.
Occasionally there may be a workshop, show, or live performance, but the main focus is always the DJ session. Any extras will be announced clearly.
The venue varies between editions — each date is announced with the specific space. The aim is to find places that live up to the sound.
